Merry Christmas

Hello all and good day,

Just thought I'd throw this out there a few hours ahead of midnight (here in the UK) as I am working Christmas morning and wont have the opportunity to do this later. But yeah, Merry Christmas! Or Happy Hanukkah. Or whatever annual holiday you celebrate this time of year. Hope you all have a good day (all three of you who read this anyway) and that this holiday season treats you well.

Now with that out of the way, a slight apology. I know this year has been pretty thin on the ground where me putting up art is concerned. But since all the stuff I put up is stuff I commissioned other people to do, the rate of new content is dependent solely on my financial situation. And boy let me tell you, I have been going through some fun old times where that is concerned.

It's my own fault really, but then I really wanted to do that Masters degree. If I hadn't have done that, I would still be up in Wales, renting a house from my Mother and working 40 hours a week in a my old job at the cake factory. But no, I wanted to do that postgraduate degree which warranted getting a bank loan, and now here I am slowly paying it off one month at a time.

I'm being deliberately bleak here, my lot isn't so bad. It's certainly better than many others out there in the world. And FYI, I learned this month that I passed my Masters with Merit, which is pretty much as good as I could have ever gotten it, so that is awesome right there.

But anyway, I can at least promise there will be some new art next year. The next stage of the Paper Hearts series (drawn as always by :iconRandomRedux) shall be dictated by audience participation. There are now enough characters that the next girl to get some alone time with Joe can be decided by poll, so look for that in a week or two.

There is some rumblings of collaboration work to be had with but that is still in the negotiation phase, as that is a writer who is very busy most of the time. I'll be looking to call upon the talents of or again for the next phase of that project.

And perhaps, if he can be persuaded, I might put something to when he has more spare time. Even if that fellow who commissions the Miss Liberty series keeps (allegedly) dragging his heels with providing the dialogue for his latest commission comic. I still want to do the mini-series of comic book covers for the various chapters of the Joe's Journal series.
